Get started with the Accessy app!

Download the Accessy app

Start by downloading the app. You can find it in the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android). Simply search for “Accessy.”

Create account

The first thing you need to do is create an Accessy account. This is done directly in the app. Simply start by entering your name and phone number. In Accessy, your phone number is considered your identity. The number should therefore be the one used on the phone where the app is installed.

Info
Keep in mind that the phone number must be entered in international format (e.g., +46702553669) – don’t forget to read and accept our Terms of Use as well.

When you proceed to the next page, you will receive an SMS with an activation code. This is a one-time code to verify that you own the phone number. Simply enter the code in the field and click “Next.”

Info
On some mobile phones, you may see a notification allowing the activation code to be automatically pasted directly from the SMS. In that case, you will proceed directly to the next screen.

You now need to enter a PIN code of at least 6 digits. This PIN code is used to log in to the app, which you will need to do periodically as a security measure.

The PIN code is therefore important and should be remembered or written down in a safe place.

Enter your chosen PIN code in both fields to confirm it, and then click “Next.”

Once this is done, you can also choose to enable biometrics (e.g., fingerprint or Face ID) to unlock the app more easily.

If you don’t want to decide right now, you can always enable biometrics later. You will then find it under “Settings.”

On the next page, you will be presented with a recovery code.

The recovery code allows you to restore your Accessy account if you happen to forget your PIN code or even lose your phone.

To save the recovery code, click the “Copy” button. Then paste it somewhere you feel it is safe (a “long press” gives you the option to paste the code into, for example, a document or app).

Idea
You also have the option to save your recovery code to iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android users).

Warning
Handle your recovery code as a valuable item, as it provides full control over your Accessy account and the access and memberships you have been granted.

And again: if you ever need to recover your account, for example if you forget your PIN code or switch phones, you will need your recovery code.

After you click “Next,” you are now up and running and can start using Accessy!

The next step is to obtain the access you need. Please contact your organization administrator. More often than not, this is the person who also sent you the invitation.
