Do I really need to scan? What about garages and the like?

You don't necessarily have to use the scan functionality. If you feel it is easier, you can always add an access as a favorite and have access  to buttons for opening the door instead. Simply click "Add favorite". If "Ready to scan" pops up automatically, simply click the X to close it down ("Cancel" on iPhone).    If you don't want the app to open the scan function automatically, you can deselect this by clicking the icon to the right of the Accessy-logo.
